QUINCY — The Quincy License Board approved seven liquor and common victualer licenses, clearing a new Hancock Street restaurant and setting the fall Kilroy Square calendar. The board unanimously approved an all-alcohol beverage restaurant license for Mishu Quincy LLC, doing business as Cafe Quincy, a 3,000-square-foot, 50-seat space at 453 Hancock Street with hours "6 a.m. to 11 p.m. to get all meals in there," under proposed manager Jimmy Wong. A companion common victualer license for an adjoining ice cream shop, Cafe Quincy LLC doing business as Mishu, was also approved.
The board signed off on special use permits for the Quincy Chamber of Commerce's two-weekend Kilroy Square Holiday Market, November 27-29 and December 4-6, and a one-day license for the city's "Meet Me at Kilroy's" concert October 24. Griffin Kirkwood, representing the New England Free Jacks, said the club's November 7 Fall Fest will decide the winner of its new Scholars Cup tournament. The board also approved a 400-page ownership-change filing for Walgreens store number 18361 after its parent company went private.
